Pros

People are very nice. Zero pressure to perform or succeed. Free drinks and snacks. Easy commute, nice summer picnics

Cons

Rife with nepotism, significant loss of customers year over year not sustainable much longer and they have no realistic plan to address it, inexperienced management over their heads and don't realize it due to ego, 401k is terrible if you aren't retiring in the next 5 years, also not explained well to new folks so they can understand that 2-3% returns aren't a great thing, medical benefits are extremely pricey, no follow through from management on reviews/raises/bonuses. New people will find that out soon enough.

We recently added new benefits including dental to improve our overall benefits offerings to employees. Our business strategy includes utilizing the latest technology to develop new products that will drive new business and growth. We place a great deal of importance on the Rediker culture and work/life balance. We have always maintained an open-door environment where employees are free to share and express their opinions, thoughts and suggestions and appreciate your feedback.

Pros

The company is great. The people as well are great. Good hours and a family owned company since the beginning. Mr Rediker is a great individual and created a great company. The team at tech support is very knowledgeable and the trainings were great.

Cons

As the previous reviewer stated. The favoritism is rampant... As long as your in the president or top associates good favors you will not have any upward mobility at that place. The building is three floors where Tech support (my previous dept) was in the basement... maybe on purpose? The dept felt like we were at the bottom of the structure. If a client complained there would be a write up, if the tickets weren’t closed you’d get a write up... things really were incredibly disorganized and communications between departments was little to non existent... before my departure the company was going big towards “millennial entertainment” which included the addition of a game room as well as purchasing more healthy alternatives... many turn around in the dept as well... I took the job hoping to retire from there but with the amount of people being hired and fired it just turned into another revolving door...

Since you haven’t worked here “for some time”, you may not know that several policies have changed, and we continue to identify areas for continued improvement. The “millennial entertainment” you refer to has been in existence since September 2016 and based on the feedback we’ve received, including some right here on Glassdoor, employees seem to enjoy them! We will continue to look at any activities, events or perks that we feel make Rediker a great place to work for our employees. Additionally, we regularly communicate our vision with our current staff and, as a family owned business, we value our team members and their daily contributions; regardless of which floor they work on or which cubicle they sit in. We do not place people on floors based on their deemed importance. Our building is comprised of three floors and teams are kept together for obvious, work related, reasons. As a small, local company, each employee plays a significant part in helping us achieve our vision. Again, since it has been some time since you’ve worked at Rediker, you may not know that quite a few of our managers are relatively new and come to us with extensive leadership experience in their field of expertise. I do apologize if you encountered a “toxic” manager while you were working here, but we can confidently say that is not the case today. Our strategy includes developing new products utilizing the latest technology so Rediker Software continues to be a market leader. While we will always look back at where our company has been, our focus remains on the future. Thank you again for your remarks and comments.
