Pros

It is a job, Most Employees stay because of the economy and the fact that the Site where most FSE’s are, used to have it where you could not leave and get a job at a different company and return onsite before 6 months. That ban was lifted but most don’t know or have been beaten down to not care. You have a job unless you want to have your own life. You would think some people like more hours and others may not but this company says everyone has to have the hours or no one gets the hours.

Cons

Your work life and personal life is there’s, be available on your days off to come in no matter what. Company force’s people to be on call and will still expect the people not on call to answer and come in, Sometimes it gets better but then falls right back in to the slum it is. Company just had a mass lay off of at least 30 people. Don’t expect good pay and if they give a yearly raise one year then count your lucky stars, of course the raise will not even be a living increase for one year but it will span multiple years of not getting one. There is so much more BS with this company it is not funny. Most of us are just waiting for the merge or sale off as they have split the manufacturing group off and changed there name to Screen- SPE and keep pushing that the stock holders are more important.

Pros

If you like working with your hands and you like the blue collar life style, screen is great. Alot of travel but that's standard in this industry and you can benefit from it personally.

Cons

You will be working and you need to learn fast, if not you'll be stuck on night till they don't need you anymore

Pros

Its a Japanese company thus no fix rules for US branch office. Managers made up regulations based on which side of the bed he/she woke up. This means also lots of freedom if one does not step over red line. Especially, if you are manager's Eddie boy.

Cons

Low salary, no stock options, no much benefits, manager treat employees very rude, HR has no power, non-talent person(s) got promoted, no future to step up
