Pros
You learn a lot and are basically the face of the company on site. Customers are relying on you to get the job done. You get a company vehicle although they are switching to EV Trucks so be aware of that. You also get a company credit card to pay off your job expenses. You also have stop work authority so if you feel uncomfortable doing something the safety team has your back.
Cons
A LOT of Travel and relying heavily on communication between Project Managers and Customers. You need to reach out to the Project Managers and be proactive in communicating with them and the customers to know what exactly you're doing. Depending on how cheap the project manager can be you may be on your own at a job. A LOT of time away from family
