Laid off the week before Christmas after being told the Q3 layoff was a ‘cut once’ layoff - Anonymous employee Skedulo Employee Review

Getting laid off the week before Christmas I wasn’t sure I would write a review but if I save one person from accepting an offer from this place is it worth it. Incompetence at the C level doesn’t even begin to describe Skedulo in 2022. After a layoff in Aug 2022 those that survived were told that the August layoff was deep enough and there was no plan to lay off again. 3 months later, in December on a random Wednesday, there was another lay off. So the company meeting on Thanksgiving week with all the green colored charts about the funnel…what was that? Did someone forget to carry the one when taking the number of employees and dividing into projected revenue for the year? This place can’t seem to plan beyond a quarter. I should have stayed put and never accepted this position. Skedulo is a hot mess. The only thing that makes sense is for Skedulo to be acquired. The product is too immature to be considered enterprise level software and the one off customizations that are done for customers are really to mask the lack of features in the core product. Customers are being charged by professional services to subsidize enhancements that should be in standard core.
