Pros
Easy to get hired with little recovery time. Not sure that’s a pro for the clients.
Cons
I worked here for eight months before they let over half of the company go a week prior to Christmas with no warning. In my time working there, I was never once paid for my overtime. There was eventually a class action lawsuit we won in regards to their refusal to pay OT. The owner would adjust the price of a clients intake if he knew they had good insurance or came from money. Whether you would be kicked out or not after a relapse was also based on if you had good insurance or could pay another fee. I was often asked to write group notes on groups that didn’t take place so I had to be the first employee to take it upon myself and make sure these groups actually happened. Not that other employees were lazy, but I don’t think they were trained to know better at any point. The owner has quite the arrest record and there was always a great deal of speculation he was never clean himself. In my eight months of working there I was only tested once and it was six months after being hired. If you are trying to do right by your clients, this is not the place for you, they make it almost impossible. Pay was a joke compared to what I was offered at other companies afterwards for my experience, degree and certifications. I’m honestly shocked this place is still open and feel bad for any client that feels this place is their only option.
