Pros

Team members on the ground were some of the hardest working individuals compared to senior leadership. Volunteering and pay it forward opportunities

Cons

Work life balance was non existent, pay did not reflect expectation or dedication, lack of decision making at all levels, no trust in you to make decisions, no transparency or integrity, mask additional responsibilities with ‘empowerment’, no real support once structure changes were made with no clear guidelines on future goals or steps to get there. Consistently set up to fail and constantly reminded about “managing out” other team members, to only assume the same would happen to me Middle management never recognised or celebrated but consistently reminded how great the people above/below were. Mental Health not considered or disregarded, given direction to access external resources however due to workload unable to find time to access. Constantly contacted outside of working hours and during holidays, bombarded with messages/calls and emails with no regard for personal time off

Pros

Great benefits, hotel discounts on all sister hotels, health care, retirement, really good PTO.

Cons

Long hours for kitchen managers. It’s very fun job don’t get me wrong but you will work 60+ hours every single week. Most weeks are 5 days on but you might work a stretch of 10+ days in a row of 12+ hours. I think other departments have fair work hours of 8-10 hours.

Pros

Some people are nice .

Cons

Ever since joining it has always been disorganised and a mess but you would expect once an establishment has been at its lowest, they would realise the issues and change standards, unfortunately this is not the case. Management are headless chickens. During summer time they would leave one host greeting over 200 guests which is extremely overwhelming, especially if the manager is no where to be found or hiding away somewhere. Management have little regards for wellbeing and when staff put up reasonable boundaries you get met with less hours instead of support I would not recommend. This place also has SERIOUS cleanliness concerns including cockroaches in the pillars by the bar yet the establishment continues to operate as if nothing is wrong. The whole management is ran by people who have power trips rather than leadership it’s just a stressful and not a healthy environment.
