Pros

This is one of the best reviews you will ever get abt UST Global from Inside. I started my work life in technopark, and I used to see a bunch of UST guys always roaming around happy. This is a perception of UST if you have worked in Technopark, Trivandrum. Now from Inside I am telling you these Happy guys are freshers, most of them who have completed their training with their fellow batch mates from college,So its natural for them to enjoy the first months of paid training. You will see them participating in all kinds of activities like "Colours" , "Sports" , "C Shop", I must say it so much happier to wish UST had recruited you as a fresher :) I must say UST stands as a very good start for a fresher if you are not looking to do too much of work during ur intial days and wants to njoy that laid back life after college. Hopefully it will not last long, since once you are into a project, u will start the chakky picing. I came into UST as a lateral with almost 6 years of experience. I must say since I was directly recruited to healthcare project, I had to work my ass out to gain the knowledge and compete with my peers.I never worked this hard in my career and I must say I did pretty good, Since after one year of brutal work I moved to their most famous account(Now thats a secret), and got promoted as their Test Lead. I must say that was pretty fast by UST standards, since my old project mates where still burning midnight oil satsiying the client. They have very liberal atitude towards women.I must say i see a lot of women software engineers working for the company compared to other BIG 5.My project manager herself is a women, a very hardworking lady I must say.Even my onsite manager is a women. So if you are a girl, I must say UST gives you oppurtunites to grow, unlike other companies where girls are just looked like pain in the ass.Thrown in to show equality at work. UST is cool, that s one thing you will notice about the company. If you are into a good project, you will get flexible work hours and not so bothersome managers They know you are precious so they treat you nicely.I am must say. I worked in one of the new office in kochi and they had a nice pool table, where I am building my skill set now.Hopefully I will be able to play national's soon, with the amount of hardwork I am doing at the table.

Cons

If you are not promoted within 2 years, start looking for better oppurtunities Have a very strict HR dress code, and they stress on it as a master of factly Its better to buy a lot of white shirts and black pants thats how most of the higher management dresses, if you where one of them then u r part of the brotherhood, otherwise be ready to get you ass kicked. I had a manager who once called me up and told me about me not tieing collar button.I mean i am 105 KGS , it can get pretty difficult for a fat fellow with chubby cheeks and a dimple.Thats how strict can they get. HR managers are not completent enough, i mean thats the case almost everywhere but here it can get pretty bad. The hike is low since from what I have heard. Its better to get a good package dont expect anythng later. Cudling up to the manager maybe good for you, if you want to get promoted hiked or what not. UST is a true blood mallu company, Like CTS is for Tamils.I have heard Tamils, telugus , telling abt partiality to us, Btw dont they appraise and promote their fellow brethen when we(I am mallu myself) are working in chennai or banglore ?

Pros

I have been associated with UST for almost 12 years, starting my journey as a Tester and currently serving as a Senior Project Manager. Looking back, the growth opportunities provided by the organization have been remarkable. One of the biggest strengths of UST is its people-first culture. The leadership team is approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in employee success. Throughout my career, I have received continuous encouragement to take on new responsibilities, learn new skills, and move into leadership roles. The company places significant emphasis on employee well-being, work-life balance, and professional development. I have had opportunities to work across different domains, engage with global clients, and grow both technically and managerially. What makes UST special is the trust it places in its employees and the collaborative culture that exists across teams. It’s a place where dedication and performance are recognized, and individuals are given opportunities to shape their own career paths

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes could be streamlined for faster decision-making.
