Pros
The people and long term friendships.
Cons
CEO and his little man syndrome. Do you wanna work somewhere where policies aren’t set in stone and constantly change? This is the place for you! Are you a top performer that brings in millions but CEO only cares about your cold calls (he thinks that’s the only way to get business)? This is the place for you! Do want an emotional CEO that cusses you out at a team meeting? This is the place for you! Do you love and thrive with micromanagement? This is the place for you! Do you want your managers to tell you that they care about you but don’t have the back bone to stick up for you? This is the place for you! Have you been wanting to work somewhere with no HR? Congrats, this will be your first! Do you want unfair/unequal distribution? Go ahead and apply! Do you want a CEO that is stuck in his military mindset and refuses to adapt to the Fintech style? Man oh man, how can you turn that down?? Thinking about leaving your company for more money? If 30bpts or $500 flat is good enough, what are you waiting for?! Do you want to be given high expectations but not given the proper tools or resources to accomplish those goals and then get written up when it doesn’t work out? This is definitely the place for you? How about a mediocre wfh policy and even then have it be dangled in front of your face like a carrot? You’ve found the right place! Is flexibility and transparency not important to you? This is perfect for you! Want a company that goes from unlimited PTO to “generous” pto bc the CEO thinks it’s too much to ask of his managers to individually “manage” those who “abuse” the policy? Idk why you haven’t applied yet! CEO doesn’t care about feedback or listening to the people that are keeping his business alive. It’s a “my way or the highway” mentality and if you don’t agree, he’ll feel threatened and what do CEO’s with little experience and high emotions do? Push out 2 of your best sales associates even after laying off 10% of the staff 2 weeks prior due to “low revenue”.
