Pros

Fantastic technology solution - in a market sector that is 'hot' and growing. Some very good people at Viocorp that have poured their heart and passion into making it work.

Cons

Viocorp lurches from Quarter to Quarter with it's financial viability hanging in the balance. There is a strong chance they will be financially insolvent soon. Many good people have left or are in the process of leaving. It is just too risky !! BEWARE - the positive Glassdoor reviews have all been written by existing management an effort to lift ratings, and stop it being a block to new hires. Viocorp struggles to pay employee wages, and owe 6+ months of Super payments to all employees. Seriously concerning !!

Thanks for your review, and although it's never nice hearing negative feedback it is an important part of the process when employees are exited from the business. As our business develops, the resources allocated to our different functions or departments changes according to strategic priorities, and there's no doubt you've unfortunately experienced that in a negative way. From an employee liability perspective, Viocorp is up to date with all obligations but if you have any concerns around your personal situation it would be worthwhile reaching out to the finance manager or payroll.

Pros

Lots of opportunity to step up to the plate and expand your skill set. Expected to take on a variety of roles and so it's never dull working here. I find the work here very challenging - in a good way. Management and colleagues have been very helpful and they do mentor you despite the resource constraints. Flexible working hours means you get to manage your own time. Senior staff are very much in the know about the online video industry and you get some interesting knowledge sharing from them.

Cons

The often long (and erratic) hours means you can forget about work-life balance. The company is more suited to someone who is ambitious and is happy to put in long hours and either has an understanding family/friends or is a career-minded single. You'll need to be passionate about what you do at work. Otherwise, the pros mentioned above could get to you. Laziness, especially, is not tolerated (thank god!) and some staff had to be asked to leave as a result. Getting rid of these people has resulted in a more efficient work place - This is not necessarily a con.
