I have been working at Wiener Städtische full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A safe workplace. Good pay. Can offer a lot to learn if you're seriously motivated.

    Cons

Could do more to motivate employees. Strong need for innovation. Too much a "early in - early out" mentality.

I worked at Wiener Städtische for less than a year

    Pros

You manage your working and personal daily time. Commissions per sold life insurance packages are high. The company is stable and healthy from every point of view.

    Cons

    - The working position as an agent is underestimated. Not just that you don't have fixed part of salary but also as they mostly don't provide any coverage for the transport and other costs you have, except for mobile phones, you must invest not only the time but also your money before getting clients. - Senior Management's expertise is at high level, but Junior employees should be chosen more carefully. Clients have much more contact with Juniors (especially Life Insurance Agents), so they are of high importance for reputation and goodwill of the company. - The popular phrase ''if you are tired of 8 - 16h work, join us'' is so frayed. It is true you don't have to give up early, you can work from home..and what? Still it will take 6 - 7 -8 -10 working hours as it is needed to find, go and meet clients , make and tell the similar stories again and again, listen to the clients' stories and be a psychologist. If it was only to act as a seller, it would take 30 - 60 minutes per client. But as you have to be a psychologist and personality analyst in order to create the idea in client's mind and make him feel the need for life insurance, it takes at least x 2 more time to dedicate to a client.
