Great idea in theory but it doest't pay. Flexible hours

Where do I begin. I tried to work full time in 2025. I just received my 1099 form and I only made $4800. After dividing the 8000 miles I drove at the IRS allowed deduction for expenses .72 cents per mile my expenses were $5760. They only pay you $1 per loaded mile which means you don't get paid for driving to or from a location. They also don't pay you for waiting time or no shows. Terrible driver support. App hasn't worked in over 2 weeks so I can't take trips and they keep elevating the issue but nobody calls back. All they need to do is reload me as a new driver but nobody will, and I can't speak to anyone in authority. Constant bombardment with text messages and phone calls to take trips that would cost me money. Hours spent on the phone with driver support. Frequent requests to take one way trips. Emails/Texts stating that you will be removed as a driver if you don't comply with their many requirements.
