    I worked at Xilinx full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    New technology, esp ACAP, is good and competitive. If you are in the right group, you get to do a lot of interesting work. Excellent bonus and stock.

    Cons

    Software stack is old and unfriendly. Products are spread across too many "specialist groups" so too much time wasted in meetings and cross-team dependencies. No penalty for being late or reducing scope for some people, it seems.

    Great people, products are amazing and complicated. Takes excellent engineers to work there.

    Lack of Community inside the building. Not a "Family" and limited career path.
