Long hours, unstable rota, unreasonable management, treated more like a slave then an employee, sketchy clientele, management doesn’t care if a guest pointed a gun at you, had to call police multiple times during my work there. Other managers from other hotels are the same, someone from another IBIS hotel told me that their manager steals profits and doesn’t pay employees on time, others force receptionists to work as chefs, etc. Management doesn’t take responsibility and are more likely to protect each other for major violations (harassment of guests, mismanagement of stock orders, racists attitudes towards guests, etc.) while throwing employees to the wolfs for minor mistakes.
