I worked at Enel X full-time
Pros
Good people who care about their work and each other.
Cons
Disconnect between upper management and majority of workforce. Junior middle managers put in a difficult situations and too often do not protect their employees.

Pros
- The office location is exceptional. - It is an ever changing organization. - Potential to be a part of exciting innovation in the future.
Cons
- An expectation that metrics can carry you to success exclusively. - There is little attention paid to employee development. - Disconnected and disinterested upper management. - Success in inside sales is working with successful outside sales representatives in lucrative markets. - Limited choice for market or outside sales rep pairing. - Company culture in decline ever since acquisition.

RecommendsNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Enel X full-time
Pros
Relaxed workplace, great people to work with, drinks with colleagues
Cons
Demand response isn't the most interesting thing, lots of barriers and red tape to work through (both internally and market facing). Upper management doesn't really care about employees

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Enel X full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Worked at EnerNOC for many years... times got rough but I stuck around for my coworkers, the people in the trenches, working their rear ends off to keep the revenue flowing. So that's a plus - a lot of the "little people" are great.
Cons
Very misguided upper management. While I was there, we would re-org every 6 - 12 months. Never worked, of course. Can't deal a winning hand by shuffling the same crud cards over and over. Got to the point where I wouldn't even bother trying to figure out where I fell in the overall company structure. Why bother if it would all change in a few months anyway? In the end, after surviving multiple rounds of layoffs and a 500% drop in stock value, I got laid off too, very suddenly, with no heads up, no respect for seniority, profitability, or ability, no logic or reason. Worked my tail off for almost 5 years, made my numbers every single year, no explanation as to who was selected. Very arbitrary, very demoralizing.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Enel X full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Worked with some of the brightest, most mission-driven people. Smart and generally willing to help out, but only those below Director level.
Cons
They laid off a bunch of people with 2-weeks severance, because upper management made terrible business decisions. Yet upper management gets to keep their jobs and salaries, while the rest of the employees get pushed out with no cushion. After layoffs were announced, upper management went around ignoring people who sat a few feet away who they knew were laid off. I would not go back or recommend to anyone to work for a company that does that.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Enel X for more than a year
Pros
Interesting work, great people, lots of perks. They work to keep employees happy. The company greatly encourages both teaching and learning from your co-workers.
Cons
Work piles up quickly, and you need to be able to keep up and prioritize. Upper management can occasionally seem out of touch with the boots on the ground.

Cons
-Employee morale is at an all-time low -Lack of vision for the organization -Went through two rounds of layoffs in 2016 -Software side of the business isn't taking off as expected, contributing to a lot of the layoffs -Lots of debt coming up over the next few years due to the price of energy futures -Some upper management not experts in their functional roles (e.g. a Director with no experience in their field) -Benefits could be better for a company that calls itself a software company -Company is not diverse
