Great opportunity to earn decent money while networking for a permanent position in the medical communities.
25 Aug 2012 - Field Technician in Johnson City, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you enjoy working independently, can self manage/like to figure things out on your own, and are flexible, this is a great part time gig! (I am working full time hours mostly, which means there is also overtime pay.) The pay is actually good for the very minimal skill set required. I am not micromanaged, and have a good working relationship with my coordinator in AZ. There is reimbursement for mileage and drive time, as well as ink/paper for home printing. The job also provides a great opportunity to network in the medical communities to which you travel if you are searching for a full time, permanent position. It is definitely preferable to drawing unemployment!
Cons
Wear and tear on personal vehicle, no benefits, schedule is subject to change on a daily basis, thus it is difficult to project your personal finances. (You are advised of this before accepting the job, however.) Communication is at times an issue, as the call center in AZ if apparently very busy, as well as in a different time zone, however there is an emergency line if all else fails. It is unclear as to the actual length of employment/projects, although you are given a vague idea in terms of weeks when hired. It is scary to think you will suddenly have no more work without any warning...

A job to do while searching for real career employment.
30 Dec 2010 - Field TechnicianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- You go to different physician's offices so the work environment changes. - Really easy work. - Only supervisor you have is located in Phoenix, AZ so no one is breathing down your back. - You set the tempo and the way you perform your job duties. - You can recieve a $25.00 bonus every pay period if you meet simple goals.
Cons
- You scan, scan, scan, scan, scan. It is easy work, but very boring. - You are only reimbursed for mileage AFTER 80 miles. - You only start getting paid when you arrive at the job site, even if you have to drive 45+ mins to the location. - You have to print out hundreds of cover sheets at home and not reimbursed for the ink used. - Employment is NOT permanent as a Field Technician so there is no advancement of any sorts unless you live near Phoenix, Arizona.

Field Tech Coordinator
14 Jul 2015 - Field Tech Coordinator/Supervisor in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work is easy and basically the same thing every day. If you like a predictable work load then this could be the job for you. If you show up, on time, regularly you'll stand out and get noticed by management.
Cons
Micro-managed workload. The expectations are clear but you need to do everything by the book to avoid being chastised. Little room for creativity or personal preferences in how you get your work done. High turnover so employee moral tends to be low. Employees not valued as individuals.

Decent money and autonomy
1 Feb 2012 - Field Technician in Johnson City, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
In many ways you are your own boss in this job. As long as you show up for your shift and get your project done, then management doesn't bother you. The money is quite good for the small skillset required for the job. I make $15 an hour, plus .50 per mile after 80 miles roundtrip. If you travel a few hours to do a job, you can make a pretty good days pay. They also pay you to drive after the first hour. Most weeks I have worked 40 hours, sometimes less, sometimes more. The overtime is very nice, and they never gripe about giving it to you. They are also very good with the reimbursments they owe you. I have heard a few people complain about this job, but as with many things, you get what you put into it.
Cons
No room for advancement as a Field Tech Sometimes the work is intermittent No Benefits

Right Hand Doesn't Know what the Left is Doing
31 Oct 2013 - Field Technician in Pittsburgh, PARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Although there are no benefits, the salary was adequate.
Cons
They advertise that their field techs are professionally trained. What a joke. Training is a two hour poorly made video. There is no communication between departments. On at least six occasions I was sent to sites that were not expecting me. Two other times I had to wait hours at physician offices because the company forgot to send the list of patients to be retrieved. They take away assigned offices at will, and give them to other techs, leaving you with nothing for the day. Supervisor was rude and uncommunicative. If you called with a problem you were told that if you didn't know what you were doing you shouldn't be out in the field. This company is so disorganized that it is a total joke

Only if you have to....
24 Feb 2016 - Outbound Agent in Phoenix, AZRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Easy job with great hours 7am-3:30 pm. Little responsibility and Pay is okay... $10.00 an hour.
Cons
They treat the temporary employees like garbage! In my second day at this Job they had a meeting to scold the entire crew about rates. They then told all the newbies that we had better be making rate by that Friday or we could loose our jobs. Constantly talking about firing people out loud to have us all in fear for our jobs. The first week went by with us being afraid to ask for help for ANYTHING. Attitude and belittling was what went along with almost any answer. We were scolded on having Attitude and then told that they would take the side of their employee over what we say every time that they don't care. And they wonder why they have a high turn over Attendance issue.

Pros
Went to some really good clinics and Dr's offices
Cons
Where do I begin. My contact started the week before me and knew nothing about the job. I had to explain what it was I was doing, she couldn't answer my questions and was basically no help. I was over scheduled for almost every job some times by a week or more, then I would have no work for days. They questioned everything I did. Lugging the case sucks. Accused me of breaking PHI when I didn't. I was badged by contact at the site, givin a miniscule area to set up, I called my rep immediately and was givin no help. The site complained about me and the company sided with them and I was let go, even though I documented everything that happened including having severe neck and should pain from working in crappy space. Oh yeah and forget about training. This company sucks!! The job is now posted for $1.50 more per hour than I was making, another insult.
