I have been working at Essel Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Zero. None. Zilch. Just the brand name. They do try to work in new tech, but they wont give any guidance and they expect you to build a TikTok app under less than a month. You will be expected to learn new tech and work like a pro after 2 weeks.

    Cons

Most horrible place to work in my entire career. Management is the Worst. Work culture is so toxic, they will suck the employees lives out. Pure exploitation in the name of employment. You are expected to work on weekends and late nights. Zero work life balance. Most people who join this company, leaves within an year. Few of them even left in less than a month. If not, they will find ways to fire you within an year. Their motto is to keep changing work force by paying less. Employees were even threatened to come to office in the COVID times, irrespective of whether they are out of state or red zone or whatever. Infact two employees even got positive and they kept it hidden from the employees and quarantined the place for 1-2 days and asked people to come back again. If not, they were slapped with loss of pay and then terminate them with silly reasons. This was even reported to KTR/Govt in Twitter with email screenshots. Annual appraisals are a big joke. They will give pea nuts raise only for employees who they are dependent on. For rest, they will keep under PIP and throw them under the bus. Even if you get outstanding reviews from clients, it doesn't matter to them. They are just using the brand of Zee, but unfortunately this entity doesn't live up to that - purely because of one ego maniac who runs the show and her puppets. This company was formed out of her ego tussle with folks in Mumbai, to become a CEO. She runs this company as if its her den and treats employees worse than slaves. Yelling, shouting, insulting and threatening employees is her usual working style. She has issues with most clients (internal & external), hence stopped giving projects too. Don't believe if there are any positive reviews. Those are all fabricated and are posted by either sycophants or threatened employees. Some negative reviews were being taken down also. My sincere suggestion to prospective employees - stay jobless than joining this worthless company. You will thank me later. If you do join, you will realize it within 2 weeks. I was under lot of stress, mental torture and anxiety while working here. Am so glad and felt much better after leaving this place. Trust me, this workshed doesn't even qualify as an IT company. Its a wonder they call themselves that.
