I have been working at Ewing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

To name some quick ones; 401k Match, Profit sharing, small gym, education reimbursement, certification reimbursement, excel training reimbursement (or free tutoring), one on one leadership training / mentorship (with management or company leadership guru), occasional lunch provided (month-end, birthdays, goals met), unlimited company provided coffee / tea (cream and sugar included), internal advancement, advancement, ADVANCEMENT (did I mention advancement), plenty of parking (none of that downtown parking garage mess, off-street parking fender benders or walking a mile in heels pain, you're pretty much parking at the front door), maximum exposure to lots of realms of the industry (if you're bored, that's on you, there is always something to do, something to learn, something to file or an open door to ask a manager how you can help or grow in your career). There are many more but it's easier if you just come and see for yourself. This is a job, not charity, so if you want to work for the sake of working and bettering yourself, then this is the place to be amongst like minded individuals. Standards are high and management wants people to meet expectations that can be utilized here or anywhere else you choose to be.

    Cons

The only cons are there are some negative people who work here who know if they leave they will probably never be able to get another job (this is at EVERY JOB). They will try and get in your head but as long as you come to work and give your 100% and don't let other people affect you then you are good. Be better than those individuals. No one employed here at Ewing is being held against their will.

I have been working at Ewing full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Rapidly expanding, fast paced environment. You feel like a part of the team, working together towards the common goal of serving the customers’ needs. You are more than an employee number here. Senior management knows and cares about you.

    Cons

Growing so quickly we desperately need more employees who want to grow with us and are not afraid of working hard towards this goal.

I have been working at Ewing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Our manager is bribing us for fake reviews so the free food is nice.

    Cons

Our manager is begging us to post fake reviews bc no one wants to apply to work in the toxic work environment that the real (and highly accurate) reviews describe. Only attempts to make employees feel valued when manager wants something in return.

I have been working at Ewing full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Ewing has made a lot of positive changes to many departments in the past six months including putting good people in place, asking for more input from employees and increasing communication between our branches and home office. The credit/finance department has seen the most positive changes. The environment is friendly and people respect each other. We work hard but still have time to laugh while getting our job done. Ewings updated benefit policies are also a plus.

    Cons

Working in s small cubicle while our new office is under construction.

I worked at Ewing full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

401k, Profit sharing, health benefits, paid maternity, 1 week vacation in 1st 6 months. Ewing as a whole is great. Take a job in IT, Sales, procurement etc.

    Cons

Just stay away from accounting department. Very toxic work environment. Management is known to write fake reviews to try and get people in. They write about advancement thats a lie. Atleast it is in accounting. People is this department have been demoted with pay cuts. Or just let go.. in the past 6 months 7 people have been let go or quit. If that dosnt say something idk what does. Not one person has been "promoted" in the 5 years I was there.

I have been working at Ewing full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Employees...some great people running the company in the Corporate office, not all of them. New branch employees are easier to recruit since the company decided to raise starting wages to an acceptable level.

    Cons

Upper management can be deceptive when negotiating salary/wages. Regional VPs are more interested in filling their pockets and making themselves look good than giving credit for accomplishments. Very clicky group, if you are not in it dont expect to be rewarded or recognized.During the start of Covid-19 many employees were laid off leaving stores shorthanded, we all worked several months without full staffs. At the end of the fiscal year employees did not get ourbperformance bonuses, meanwhile the Upper Management bragged about how much money the company made. It w as a "Banner Year". Lost a lot of respect cor Ewing because of this. Also, people of African descent are rarely seen. Divesity???
