Not very many good things to say
Cons
Employees not protected from violent guests. Higher management allows guests to stay even after several complaints about the guests violent outbursts. After seeing several deaths of guests finding their bodies higher management still doesn't offer few days off to regroup. Favoritism among other managers. Some managers will only get written up while other managers get fired for doing the exact same thing. Horrible no work life balance when a managers brother was murdered she was told by her district manager to shorten her time off even though she had over 200 hours to use because she never took time off

There's a Reason People Keep Leaving
27 May 2023 - Housekeeper in San Antonio, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Almost everyone I worked with were genuine, helpful, and optimistic despite the awful hands given by the higher ups.
Cons
Spent a year working on property and in that time, almost every person I worked with quit. Just because the site managers are nice doesn't mean corporate is the same. Perpetually understaffed because not enough money is set aside to hire the people needed, poorly maintained properties, sketchy background check system they previously lost a class action lawsuit over!

31 May 2023 - Assistant General Manager in Orlando, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Meeting new people and making friends with different co workers, promotes from within, easy operating system
Cons
Awarding lazy employees, not talking to employees to have a voice, they will get rid of you before they will help handle the problem, they preach their core values but none of the upper management appreciate what you do for the company. Upper management only cares about the bottom dollar. No work?Life Balance, upper management takes advantage of employees with a flexible schedule rather than work it themselves

26 May 2023 - House Keeper in Lexington-Fayette, KYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Meeting new people, hiring was easy.
Cons
Trashy, bug infested, Bed bugs and cockroaches (Raid) is not working. What ever policy they have is not done. We don't have supplies needed for everyday care of hotel, always an excuse. Managers are rude to employees. Manager is always frantic about something.

Pros
●Decent benefits, paid holidays, vacation, sick pay & personal paid days off if your "full time" status(regardless of how many hours you actually work) ●all kinds of neat perks like Employee Assistants Program, 7 free night stay at ESA hotels(upon approval by corp) ●so far ESA Corp has always had my back when it mattered most ● all kinds of training & opportunities for career advancement ●since majority of guests are longer term you get a chance to meet & build stong connections with some pretty interesting people
Cons
● Pays their AGM/TL/Housekeepers on the lower end compared to other surrounding local hotels ● Rarely gives pay increases to existing employees ● each property is basically micro managed by corporate who means well but doesn’t always know what's the best thing to do for each different site & doesn't seem like they trust the managers they hired to run their hotel to do so. Even the GM micromanages & some staff members think they don't have to listen to or respect AGM/TL decisions ● guests & associates are not always treated fairly or the same ● alot of ESA values, principles & policies are not always applied or followed when they should be
