I worked at FRHI Hotels & Resorts full-time

    Pros

Pre- Accor Hotels acquisition in 2016, FRHI had been a company with great management vision, good people creating excellent work environment, high values and achieving targeted goals.

    Cons

Post Accor Hotels acquisition: very poor management of the acquiring Company, lots of politics and incompetent team on the Corporate management level.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at FRHI Hotels & Resorts full-time

    Pros

Employee perks including discounted dining at F&B outlets, free daily lunch and laundry. Colleagues are generally helpful and nice to one another, showing the embodiment of hospitality.

    Cons

The recent acquisition by ACCOR coupled with increasing competition from new hotels in the area has brought about widespread budget cuts in the company which have seriously affected the function of most departments. It is now harder than ever to get a pay raise or promotion, which has led to many deserving employees stuck in dead-end positions. Hotel is also outdated and worn, you may not want to stay in the rooms you are selling. No employee discount in some of the popular restaurants, and no discounted pricing for staying at local properties except for certain low peak periods. Very hierarchical like most local companies, with management delegating most of the work and throwing ideas without actually assisting in the burden. In other words, all talk no action. Low salary compared to other industries but decent for hotels. Flexi-benefits are pathetic with no dental coverage. Employee morale is at a new low with most hoping to move to greener pastures.
