I worked at Fidelity Investments for more than 5 years

      Pros

      Great company and Great Benefits

      Cons

There is more VPs and Directors than actual workers making it more of an government job, very less creative people and doers, there is n number of people sitting idle in VPs and Directors position doing nothing and enjoying the benefits.. so no growth for others..

      Advice to Management

Make sure these VPs and Directors should have atleast 12-20 managers reporting to them else fire them right away.. individual contributors are now use to the company in anyways..

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Great benefits, happy people, good work life balance, great pay, fantastic job training,

      Cons

Lack of leadership in management, no career progression, very little training after you are “on the job” after finishing their training program. Not many internal job opportunities. Most managers are just reps with more experience so not a lot of true management experience.

      Advice to Management

Provide more career prospects, increase the amount of training available for employees, need stronger leadership.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time for more than a year

        Pros

The benefits are great and there is a lot of career mobility.

        Cons

Many people have been there for 30+ years and are stuck in their ways. Management wants to innovate and change, but it is harder for employees to actually get on board.

        Pros

Great employees! Great benefits! Great 401k plans!

        Cons

There are limited remote positions. New leadership makes changes without consideration for impact on employees or customers.

        Advice to Management

Keep employees happy and your clients will stay happy.

        Pros

Great benefits and relatively steady job as long as you work.

        Cons

It gets very old very quickly. Managers are only concerned with getting the work finished and not about properly developing or giving opportunities to grow.
