I have been working at Ford Motor Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There is a union (UAW) if you are into that sort of thing. If you like lots of overtime it is there(and mandatory). The people are nice once you have been there for a couple (weeding out) weeks.

    Cons

Not much family life due to long hours from mandatory overtime (5 days 10 hours a day). Shifts are only 6a or 6p so your whole day will be messed up. There is a huge pay gap between new workers and others ($8.00 or more) although you are doing the exact same jobs. Hard work that is hard on your body. No chance to move to a different plant or to a different area(production to IT).

    Advice to Management

    Less overtime please!!!!

I worked at Ford Motor Company full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The work was very hard, but the pay was wonderful. The culture as well as the environment was well worth the work with great leadership.

    Cons

The work that I did on the line was very hard.

    Advice to Management

I think you should consider re-hiring employees that took the buy out and have re-educated them selves with degrees because they are familiar with company policy and the operation.

I have been working at Ford Motor Company

    Pros

The benefits are awesome. No co-pays at emergency room or dr office.

    Cons

Most of supervisor don't know how to manage the workers. The lack of respect seems to be the theme.

    Advice to Management

    Go to management school!
