    Pros

    Friendly and family oriented atmosphere. Leadership - including CEO and VPs - is approachable. Excellent benefits and career advancement. The company promotes from within. Meritocracy is a real thing.

    Cons

    There is a need to make some salaries more competitive.

    Advice to Management

    Forest Lawn is a very good company to work for with excellent benefits but they have to make it financially attractive to retain / attract top talent.

    Pros

    Great place to work. There's reason why employees stay here as long as they do. I've been here for 14 years and planning on sticking around for more years. People are great and so is management. Management appreciates hard work. I've been promoted 2 times (without doing any favors). Simply been approach and offered those positions because of my hard work.

    Glad we're improving the technology.

    - Most of the processes are archaic and technology really hasn't caught up to this company - HR department is unprofessional

    Work life balance is superior, good benefits, genuinely kind people. Once a few bad weeds were eliminated, the morale overall really improved. And management is really receptive to hearing what you have to say.

    Pay could be a little higher

    benefits include healthcare, vision, dental.

    Cons

    At first this place seems like a great, happy environment. Everyone is nice and friendly enough. You will soon discover some very antiquated work values. One thing that really bothered me was the monthly employee meetings...where everyone recites the pledge of allegiance and someone recites a prayer which isn't very inclusive of others. You will find that the executives are all part of the good ol' boys club.... They stare too long and there are lots of rumors of sexual favors for promotions. HR pretty much sweeps stuff under the rug. Management is just as incompetent and people were always complaining about their verbally abusive manager. There are no real career development opportunities. Managers have favorites so if you work hard and you're not a favorite, your work goes unnoticed which is really discouraging. Find somewhere else that will appreciate your talent.

    Pretty parks when they decide to keep them up

    Cons

    Hostile work environment with micro management from the CEO; forced company "outings" and employee meetings after or before work hours. Sexist upper management and everything else makes this place seem frozen in the 1950s. Business down every year, no salary paid to sales people, dripping chemicals from walls - nobody can expect a long career here.
