    Pros

Good for new electrician's learning troubleshooting, schooling opportunity, healthcare, steady job.

    Cons

Down times, lack of pay, hours very and they like to change shifts around. Union overcharges for dues when they have no power to really help. 2 times the normal union dues. Radeos don't always have the best reception, they take months to give you access to needed areas.

I worked at Foster Farms full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Dedicated Employees Good Benefits Ability to move within the company, role dependent

    Cons

Company does not adhere to their own Core Values. There is no work/life balance, though this varies between depts. No funding for training or education. Eliminated their internal HR training group. If you want to enhance your skills it must be done on your own time at at your own expense. No appreciation for their employees and the personal sacrifices they make to keep the business running. Continually cuts budgets for employees. No longer does employee events like company picnics, holiday luncheons, etc. Meetings routinely scheduled during lunch periods, but lunch never provided. Management is in chaos. Operations driven company that does not embrace Marketing or Product Innovation. Lacks understanding of process control or lean. No formal training for plant workers. Employee safety is not a priority, especially if it adds cost.
