I have been working at Fractal Analytics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Whether you are just getting started or already at a mid-level, accepting an opportunity to work at Fractal will be worthwhile and promising. The company is rare is many aspects and is yet plagued by seething issues which are not unique to Fractal alone but is a global phenomena (rampant across organizations).

Some of the positives are listed here:

    1. Visionary CEO and leadership team
    2. Strategic posturing within the industry
    3. Respected across the spectrum for being a 'niche player'
    4. Aesthetic design, optimum facilities across locations (meeting rooms are very well designed - just the right space for any and all kinds of discussions)

    Cons

The list of cons displayed below is not unique to Fractal but a global phenomena that is rampant across industries and this alone proves the fact that it's not the company that is to be blamed but some of the people (and a very small fraction - small but not uninfluential).

Anyway, the common areas where Fractal as an organization needs to be cognizant about are as follows:

    1. Changing culture (it's not the change, but the pace of change that is questionable).
    2. One common PM methodology across the organization is lacking - there are teams that are struggling with becoming agile versus teams that have been locked in a traditional waterfall (structured) approach. But they have a client first principle and therefore most teams that have a strong sense of alignment with values will find a clear path towards the objective. As long as you know who is your client, you will navigate around any obstacle.

    Advice to Management

It's not easy to advise someone who is a advisor to fortune 500 clients. The management strategies are well thought out and charted with a long range of foresight, however often it has been observed that the best strategy can be questioned due to faulty / improper / hasty execution. Management must be cognizant of the fact there will always be a loss in transmission / translation of even the most well-thought and well-planned action plan and then compensate / course correct accordingly.
