I worked at GE Power full-time

    Pros

Good benefits from GE, Good offices to work in. Efforts to train employees in different analytical tools. Work from home options available

    Cons

I worked from the Bangalore GE Digital hub supporting GE Power Chief data officer.
The culture in the data hub is service oriented and there isn't a lot of interesting work happening. Most work is based on an etl tool (talend) or visualisation tools. There might be some amount of bias towards different employees by the middle management. Frequent changes at CXO levels and restructuring of business means focus on projects keeps shifting. Full variable salary payouts have never happened in my two years.

    Advice to Management

Focusing on effective cross training and actively looking for intelligent work for employees may keep them better engaged. Need to identify employees potential and align them to better work suited for their aptitude.

I have been working at GE Power full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I joined GE Power , Bangalore Engineering Center in 2016 directly after college graduation.

    Nice work environment and culture.
There are some brilliant minds at work here also.
Flexibility option is very good here.
    JFWTC campus is brilliant.

    Cons

There are few cons which i can think about:-

    1. There is lot of volatility regarding job security here due to low market demand.
    2. Compensation increment is at snail pace. Its like a tradeoff between flexibility and higher compensation , what a person wants more in work environment.
