I have been working at Gannett full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I say this in total honesty - this is the job I've been looking for. Management is caring and understanding. They help you every step of the way when you need it. The training programs they have get you to where you want to be in your career. Gannett is a very open environment that's laid back and comfortable. I'd recommend working here if you have the chance.

    Cons

I only have two real picks, and they're not huge at all. The bathrooms are way too small for how many people work here. Also, the water machines are awful. Other than that, no complaints.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. You're all great coaches and you keep doing great every day.

    Pros

Multi media opportunities allows for a variety of marketing campaigns for advertisers to consider.

    Cons

Performance reviews based primarily on revenue production with little attention to time requirements to administer fulfillment of campaigns.

    Advice to Management

Consolidation of departments works for operations, not so well with local advertisers.

I have been working at Gannett full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The job is easy since they compartmentalize everything as far as roles.

    Cons

Actively laying off employees. Everything you need access to use as an IT professional is locked down or in control by someone that doesn't know how to use that tech. Local IT doesn't have control of anything. They treat you as "smart hands" to plug in wires. If you didn't one of a few specific teams then your job is being replaced by someone in India.

    Advice to Management

    Take the buyout from MNG
