Pros
An ideal employer offers challenging work, friendly coworkers, advancement opportunities and a chance to make a meaningful difference around you. Gilsbar offers these things and more. Their benefits package includes some of the latest benefit trends, and their health management programs focus on treating and improving employees’ health. Gilsbar’s management team are good people who take the well-being of their team members seriously. Gilsbar’s culture fosters and rewards excellence – working here is an opportunity to work with leaders in the industry of third party administration. Work is fun when your employer’s culture is this good.
Cons
The insurance industry often has heavy workloads towards the end of the year requiring an "all-hands-on-deck" focus.

Pros
Gilsbar is growing nationally and is a great place to be if you like to work hard and be a part of a team. There is a lot of opportunity for someone who is focused and dedicated. The company, while large, still has a community feel. The CEO cares about his employees and your coworkers start to feel like family after a while.
Cons
There have been some growing pains, but nothing that is too hard if you like a challenge.

Pros
Flexibility in hours is a real plus! Good benefits. Ability to work remotely has been a big help to family life. Many good coworkers.
Cons
This is a busy environment. Expectations are high and sometimes hard to meet.

Pros
Coworkers were great, wellness program was great, vacation hours are nice for an entry level position, great community involvement NOTE: The only positive reviews on here are by current recruiters within the company trying to make the company look like a better place to work.
Cons
OVERWORKED AND UNDERPAID (I can't stress this enough) Uptight work environment, manipulative managers, lots of blame and expect only perfect work, no room for human error, insurance is awful, management doesn't understand what it's like to have children, micromanaged, no periodic department/supervisor reviews, and not appreciated When they say "family company", that means NEPOTISM and the good ole boy system. Management positions are NEVER posted online because they choose who gets to move up. And most of the time, you aren't even aware that a position is coming open to be able to tell someone that you want to move up.

Pros
Awesome wellness program. Friendly coworkers
Cons
Management doesn't treat everyone the same. Unorganized. Needs better communication within departments. Not enough pay.
