Pros

- Decent way to get your foot in the door as a post grad, if you're willing to put up with the below - Diverse - Design projects vary and can be very creative - Employees are all wonderful, the problems come from management

Cons

- Work life balance is blurry - Weekend events with no compensation, worked multiple weekends and 12+ hour days to get projects done - Employee moral is very low and every day felt like walking on eggshells - Lots of failed client relationships because the owner takes on more than the company can handle - Felt like the design team was set up to fail by stretching us way too thin - No HR, direct deposit, health benefits, only 10 days off a year - Revolving door, many employees had come and gone in the time I was there - "Family-oriented" in the sense that boundaries could be crossed and unprofessional behavior from management was allowed - Lowest priority at Gimga is the employees and their well-being - Cried a lot and should have left sooner

Cons

- Management is unprofessional - No direct deposit and you don't always get paid on time - Frequent overtime and event work with little to no compensation - Work/life balance is nonexistent - Management doesn't prioritize employees - Workload is often more than a small team can handle - Reprimanded if you leave even five minutes before 5:30pm - Moral all around is very low and turnover rate is very high - Breaks throughout the day are not encouraged - Not flexible on working remotely
