I worked at Glanbia Performance Nutrition

    Pros

    Not many at the moment.

    Cons

Leadership plays favorites. Results are rewarded regardless of improper behavior. It's an everyone for themselves environment over teamwork and collaboration. Moral conflicts around ever corner. No diversity or inclusion with Irish culture and mentality forced on every business. Obstacles at every corner without being open to change.

I worked at Glanbia Performance Nutrition full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Nothing that outshines the cons

    Cons

Leadership is the issue. The leaders have no inside working knowledge of sport supplements coming from beverage brands that sold themselves. Leadership portrays the imagine they do not care about the employees or the wellbeing of GPN and give off the attitude they are there for the check and that’s it. Leadership almost never listens to employees and their needs. They ask you what can be better and when you speak up they turn it around on you with Condescension. The leadership jumps from one project to the next, changing focus and strategy almost daily making for a confusing work environment. Products are launched then weeks later discontinued. Do they send out emails stating the status of said product? NOPE! You have to find out from people OUTSIDE the company, which is shameful. If you’re in a field sales role expect to be bombarded with internal online promotion you can’t come close to matching. Online retailers are offered deals on products such as BOGO’s monthly that the field sales division won’t support. Many retailers end of ordering from these Online retailers making it IMPOSSIBLE for field sales to hit a goal or number. Leadership is aware of this problem but refuses to acknowledge it and again making you feel dumb for bringing it to their attention. I believe the VP’s words were “I don’t wanna hear that excuse anymore”. They do not live in the real world. When you leave GPN plays dirty, claiming that your title was ‘associate’ and that you were not in sales in a petty a disgraceful attempt to derail your new job/career. I ran into this issue as have others and sabotaging someone and their family like this should be illegal.

    Pros

Great people, generous benefits, and fair salary if you don’t consider all of the overtime. Considerate work/life balance, that often falls heavier on work.

The constant budget constraints and need to do more with less, makes for long days.
