Pros
Great employees, my direct manager was great.
Cons
No room to grow in the company, low pay, long hours.
GES encourages career development by providing training to employees. Continuous Learning – We provide tuition reimbursement for professional development. Recognition Programs – Our recognition programs reward those who excel in a variety of ways, including raffles and cash awards for those nominated by their peers for outstanding performances. Thank you for taking the time to write this all out, and I'm sorry that you are feeling this way. I'm really excited about the culture we have in the Design & Exhibit Sales team at GES as a whole, and we have a deep commitment to continue its tradition as a place everyone feels welcome, valued, and enthusiastic about their job. That said, your concerns are absolutely heard, and we will take them to heart as we move forward. We remain confident that we are a mission-driven company with amazing people doing great work, and we are proud of our folks every day

Pros
Loved working for GES. Long hours, a few really amazing leaders and a great chance to learn
Cons
A tendency to find a good worker and just suck everything they can out of them without increasing pay or title. No upward mobility unless you move to Las Vegas.

Pros
I have worked for other general contractors and I think GES has the best opportunities for growth. If you know you want to make a career in live events, I think you will be able to move forward and make a real impact at GES. Other large GC's really just offer a lot of lateral moves. You can learn a lot here if you are willing to immerse yourself. Having a "that's not my job attitude" will ultimately hurt you in the end. You will work hard but it will be worth it in the end.
Cons
Upper management is not consistent and some managers on the local level will make you feel unappreciated. The culture can be negative due to long hours and sometimes thank less work. Departments are really siloed and it makes it difficult to get a well rounded training.
