Pros

-Great coworkers -Clients are nice and you get to meet all kinds of people -Travel is nice if you want to see man parts of the U.S -Many skills learned if you are looking for experience -Expense system is very good -Decent work/life balance -Good PTO

Cons

-Travel can be extensive at times -A lot of expectation for lower employees that ends up hurting you in the bonus category -Corporate seems to think valuations division is very replaceable and will not hesitate to have lay-offs if profits are falling -Can spend long hours walking in plants -Work can be repetitive -Steep learning curve in the beginning -Software and equipment is outdated -Company seems to be losing market share to competitors -More of a blue-collar job than a white-collar job, so be weary of this

Pros

No pro’s come to mind

Cons

Working at Gordon Brothers was the most toxic and unsettling professional experiences of my career. The environment is, at best, hostile, manipulative, and unstable. The company operates like a house of cards, propped up by questionable tactics that raise serious concerns about long-term sustainability. It’s also important to note that many of the positive reviews here appear to be influenced by HR, which encourages employees to post favorable comments in an effort to mask the culture it perpetuates. For those considering employment, I would advise approaching with significant caution.

Gordon Brothers Valuations Division

Recommend
CEO approval
Business outlook

Pros

Flexibility to work from home CEO (Ken) seems smart and well-spoken, good leader

Cons

The Valuations Division is terrible. Low morale, frequent layoffs, consistently underperforming sales goals, and poor leadership. Management doesn’t seem to care whether there’s work/life balance for employees. Constant layoffs have everyone on edge. Very little room for professional development or advancement for many employees.
