    I worked at Government of India, Department of Space, Indian Space Research Organisation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The assignments are very challenging, be it a design problem or manufacturing issue most of the times it is stuff that has never been done before. You get a lot of room for independent thinking and implementing innovative ideas.

    Cons

    There is no big incentive to work hard, everybody at similar position gets paid almost the same and has almost similar chances of moving up in the organization no matter how you perform. The work environment is not very enthusiastic, there are a lot of people who just keep complaining about their job.
