Pros

Very good work-life balance, and the people make you feel comfortable and able to be yourself. It doesn't feel like a high pressure environment but everyone works hard because we enjoy it and enjoy building technology that provides values to our customers. Onboarding as a new grad has also been really good.

-Dangerous (traveled in urban areas with strangers) -Time consuming -Required a lot of gas (no gas card except for some dumb thing called gas buddy) -1099 tax return was $0.00 no matter how many miles were driven - Violation without notice -Required extra hard work (elbow grease) (climbing porches and dodging dogs and spiders) -Short time challenges required maximum reach by X amount time you must deliver Y number of orders -Flat tires from pot holes and mini crashes -Cash out was sometimes frozen (meaning you weren't going to get your money whenever you pleased, only if they wanted you to -Hotspots weren't always so hot so you end up burning gas trying to get closer towards restaurants that were closed and end being penalized during the challenge by canceling an processing order -Restaurants were crowded with people that prioritized their hunger over your hustle - No uniform was given except for a fake PPE gear kit which were two cloth masks a mini sanitizer and a big orange insulation bag that was embarrassing to carry -People are going to laugh at you- dont get me wrong but as soon as you take out your phone they gone be like hahaha Are you door dash and its taking everything out of you to say no im Grubhub but technically you're door dash -Last but not least you will become burned out and feel like you haven't made any money to satisfy you financial growth and need at least 10 day to refresh and start another two weeks of consistently delivering cold slimy foods

Pros

The benefits aren’t bad, and depending on your team it can be great. A good focus on supporting non-white groups.

Cons

If you’re not working as a software engineer, they will underpay you severely. Whenever I’m in office I never see them actually working, just playing around. When I ask them what do they actually do, they say there’s not much they have to worry about, just make sure certain things are done by end of week but even that isn’t much of a workload. Meanwhile, hourly employees or any non-software engineers are having additional work added to their already large workload with no additional pay. Half the teams did not receive an annual pay raise even though they’re the reason Grubhub is in the green. Pay is not equal between men and women- there’s a huge argument currently happening at Grubhub over this and how they’re not being transparent.

- mandatory 2 days in office monitored by swipe activity. Nearly half of all employees are remote but they won't hire remote anymore and so if you live where there is an office, you are forced to go in even if not a single person from your team is in your state or even if the rest of your team is completely remote! - low raises - horrible, absolutely atrocious communication from upper management, especially around the mandatory return to office and everything that has to do with that. It was never officially announced, they just made individual managers tell you and were very vague about it. I don't even know what the consequences are. Last townhall, the CEO said "we're not going to talk about this anymore" when most of the Q&A submissions were concerning the office requirement

Pros

The company offers great benefits and compensation packages. The commission that I received for the short amount of time I spent there was incredible. If you have a lot of patients and can talk to restaurant owners, managers, and hostesses for 8 hours or more, you can make decent money with Grubhub.

Cons

I worked in the service industry for many years and for me it was difficult to constantly call restaurant managers and owners and talked to them about Grubhub's marketing packages. I understand the stress RO's have to go through with employee turnover, orders not being fast enough, customer's complains and on top it deal with sales calls. It didn't fit my style.
