Pros
Make your own schedule, you don’t really answer to anyone (I mean kinda but not really), money can be good, very simple job, not a bad job for a parent with no access to childcare (I saw a lot of drivers with their kids in tow)
Cons
A ton of wear and tear on your car, need an oil change once a month plus gas a few times a week, money isn’t always guaranteed (sometimes you go out to work and there are no orders), sometimes people don’t tip at all meaning you could make as little as $2 in a half hour, drivers now have to purchase their own insulated bags (when I first started they gave them to us for free)

Awful in since I became a pro driver
13 Jun 2021 - Delivery DriverRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Honestly for real none at all!
Cons
Keep sending me requests for low pay , taking me out my region , putting wear and tear on my vehicle and I’m not happy . They had me drive far from my region 30 min for 13 bucks cuz the customer only tipped me two bucks plus they had a lot of food . It’s not fair we get lower ratings for rejected a lower pay trips plus they don’t tel us use where we delivering to after we accept the request that’s rotten. There’s certain neighborhoods I don’t feel safe driving to. Plus I live out the city I don’t wanna drive In the city too many pot holes , can’t park no where downtown I’m not paying to park to work that’s insane . Things need to change . I’m a pro driver and making less money what kind of crap is that this company used to be good now it’s like they controlling your money and get mad when you reject trips I shouldn’t be force to go somewhere I don’t wanna go Uber eats I can choose if I want to take the trip and ask for pointpickup . This a gig not a employer . I don’t wanna be obligated to do something I don’t wanna do I’m bout to ask to get my account deactivated. I also hate going to a restaurant having to order the food and pay with a driver card to sit for 30 min for the food to cook not getting paid to wait I don’t have the patience I like making money fast not hourly . Grub hub is a nightmare I’m bout to be done with them!

Work my own schedule, pay outs are better than Uber Eats and Post mates and about the same pay as Door Dash. Some days are all high pay out orders or higher than the min. which I like.
Cons
No health insurance, some times if they give you a lot of low pay out delivery requests and you reject some because too many are low pay outs, they lower your acceptance rate which is not fair cause then you have to wait longer to set blocks and a lot of time slots are taking by premier and you were premier but werer getting too many low pay outs . Some times the customers can be fraudulent and lie about not getting their food and the driver gets looked upon as if maybe they did something wrong. They claim if you're premier you get first dibs at big pay out orders but many days when I was premier I got such low pay outs constantly and no catering offers in a while and than they lower your acceptance rate when you reject too many low pay outs....You pay for your own gas daily which when you are driving all day can be costly, and wear and tear on your car from driving so much

Pros
You get to set your own schedule. You get to work for yourself.
Cons
Wear and tear on your car. High gas prices that the company doesn't cover. Baseline pay is supposed to be 8.00 an order before tips. They steal from your tips to give you a lower base pay. Their new system for order and pay sucks. You don't get to order the customer's food anymore. GrubHub does it and sometimes the GrubHub customer service doesn't put the order in but will mark it as ordered. So the drivers are stuck either waiting around for an hour with no pay while the restaurant makes the order that the Grubhub Customer service should've put in and didn't or you're forced to give up the order and lower your acceptance rate. This has happened several times to me. You HAVE to be on a block or you won't get an order because the market is oversaturated with drivers. Cherry pickers who will only take the higher orders, leaving the lower orders for those of us that are just trying to get by. Some people have less than a 10% acceptance rate and they're not removed from service.

Pros
You can make your own hours . When I would call to the company cause there was an issue the employers were very helpful and friendly you can work locally
Cons
They would take a lot out of the delivery and use it as if it was tips and a lot of wear and tear on my car

Back and Forth on the True Hourly Guarantee
7 Jul 2021 - Independent Contractor in Charleston, WVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Own hours, can be decent pay when your market isn't oversaturated with drivers.
Cons
Hourly guarantee is a joke- driver specialists seemingly make up their own rules based on driver. Long distances to drop offs in large regions, gas, wear and tear on car, app issues that are never resolved. More like an employee than a contractor.

2 Aug 2021 - Delivery Driver in Bridgeport, CTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work anytime, don't have to deal w customers. No drug testing. I need 20 total words. A couple more? Damn it I'm pretty sure this is over 20 words.
Cons
Wear and tear on your own car, some people want deliveries when their place is gross or confusing to get to. Stranger danger
