Great Place to Work
18 May 2023 - Assistant Vice President in MumbaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Rejoined the organization for the 2nd time which says that the company has a fantastic culture and leadership team Glad to say that the organization is employee centric and ensures each employee is taken care of. There is immense job security and lots of opportunities to grow if you are willing to take up challenges. Special mention that the CHRO has a very well crafted approach on making HDFC ERGO general insurance be Great Place to work and she has been successful in achieving it for the past few years.
Cons
Very very humble organization None that I can think of

Decent company, HR team culture toxic
16 May 2023 - AVP- Human Resources in MumbaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The business teams are quite experienced Company policies favor those with tenure Leadership does business with ethics thanks to HDFC group's guidance Average = greatness, you wont be fired.
Cons
Work culture is toxic. Do not join any non-sales function, employees are yelled at on the floor. Policies are launched for optics. CHRO and core HR team is delusional. Sitting inside cabin for hours to discuss politics and food instead of working. Policies are partial, those who make the policies do not have to face consequences or adhere to it. Level-wise attendance and benefits. Plus everything is subjective and exception is part of the norm.

Slow growth! I have half a decade of experience within hdfc ergo itself as it’s my first job but still a junior associate including 50 more people with the same salary and experience

Not a place to make a career
24 May 2023 - AVP- Human Resources in ChennaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nothing to state anymore at HDFC Ergo
Cons
I was working for team for many years and saw entire team change with new people coming in. Team did not respect old employees, just because new people joined. Only people with reference from HR head and core team were hired. Our roles were cut down instead of expanding. Promotion was not given to old timers and even now good appraisals are given only to new people hired by reference

Pros
Ppl in business were good and would gell well. Timings were flexible
Cons
Worked in the organisation for close to 2 years and had to leave because of the manager. My manager would not give directions but always reject my work. She used to insult me in the floor, talk behind my back but would not give feedback to improve. My entire team was always focussed on getting the GPTW ranking without caring about making it a great place to work in reality.

Pros
App based learning certification possible
Cons
I worked in company for more than 1 year. I was fired just because they know that I give interview. Which rule say that you can fire for giving interview. HR team not care about any rules and they talk about big things. Only talk and no real meaning. Hr team can not care about employees then who will. They can fire people without job, without thinking about how they will survive. Don't join.
