    You are working with a big brand which offers lots of exciting opportunities in different locations. 150 years old bank and offers excellent job security.

    Cons

    As it employees more than 200000 people don’t expect any special treatment or high increments no matter how well you perform

    Reduce multiple layers - that slows decision making

    Transparency in every decision made. Very people friendly. Good job recognition. Gives enough exposure for you to progress in your career. Challenging assignments.

    Cons

    Mammoth organisations have their own set of challenges towards restructuring and it takes a task to align yourself with the org priorities.

    Great work environment. Positive response from colleagues. Good support from senior management when needed. It has been great working in HSBC.

    Cons

    Sometimes employees are overburdened by work. Employees need to slogg for hours. Employees don't find much of cons in HSBC.

    Pros

    1. Being a captive unit HSBC global technology centers across world only supports Software solutions for In house HSBC bank. So there's client pressure as such.
    2. Great work culture and work life balance
    3. Moderate pay hikes and competitive with other captive players in maket (CITI , BARCLAYS , WELLS FARGO)

    Cons

    1. Very slow in adopting to newer technologies in market and this makes you far behind than market.
    2. Foundation is on old legacy systems and changing them is mamooth task so one would more likely work on migrating one of the systems.
