I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Let me start by saying I rarely write reviews for anything, however I felt the need to write this one. I started working for Hilton Grand Vacations call center in Las Vegas in September 2013. I landed there after being fed up with the fly by night companies. My plan was to work in the call center for 6 months and transfer to selling timeshare. Needless to say that didn't happen. Never did I imagine working in a call center selling vacation packages could be so lucrative. My first full year in I made 80k. Not only was the money great but so were the people I worked with as well as management. You form a family bound. The company acknowledges their employees with Award Ceremonies, Dinners at 5 star restaurants. Auctions giving away thousands in merchandise from Tv's, vacations, jewelry etc. Spiffs which involved Amex and Visa gift cards. After 2 (1/2 )years, I decided to follow my passion of selling timeshare but not for Hilton. Needless to day after about 6 months and hoping from company to company the grass was not greener on the other side. I returned back to Hilton and was ecstatic about being back. I transferred to Chicago excited that Hilton had a similar position in Chicago selling same vacation packages face to face to hotel guest. Giving me the opportunity to be around family while not giving up what I absolutely loved. Had this position not been here in Chicago I would still be in Las Vegas. They don't put a cap on your earning potential so you truly create your own paycheck. The team travel program is Top Notch.

    Cons

Standing on my feet all day.

I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Many opportunities for growth within HGV as long as you are dedicated to putting in the time and effort. Lots of new projects opening = lots of opportunity. I have worked with HGV for 9 years and this is more than just a job for me, I genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. Team culture has proven to be important to our leaders and it resonates throughout the workplace. The culture/people are what keeps me here. Additional pros, health insurance, team member travel program, fun work events.

    Cons

Entry level salary can be low for some administrative roles. With the growth mentioned in pros there is opportunity to make more through promotions etc. but you will need to put in the work to get there.

    Advice to Management

I have been very fortunate to work with some amazing leaders. Keep the focus on culture as you have been.

I have been working at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the pay. if you do well you get paid pretty well, but if you don't meet their goals you get paid the horrible 9/hr. the management is great, only when you work at night. they're very encouraging and the incentives and spiffs really help.

    Cons

NO flexibility for scheduling. Some of the management play favorites and make it very obvious. The goals are sometimes unreasonable. the hourly pay is insulting. the actual job is kind of a scam, you will get yelled at for calling people because they have been asked to be on the do not disturb list and have still been called multiple times.

    Advice to Management

raise the pay. period. be more flexible in scheduling.

I worked at Hilton Grand Vacations full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The team was amazing. I loved talking to them and being able to get to know every single one. It’s a small department so it’s nice to talk to each other when it’s not busy and build great friendship. It was also nice to become friends with the guests as well and have great conversations.

    Cons

The hours start in the morning and end at night. It sort of kills my mood to wanna do anything afterwards because I’m tired. I was scared I wouldn’t have time to study for classes or get homework done.
