    I have been working at Holiday Inn Express full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The job duties and dealing with the guest are a pleasure.

    Cons

    The worst part of any position at this particular location is dealing with a GM who is condescending, and constantly micromanaging. It creates a hostile work environment. It's hard to work when someone is constantly criticizing for things done wrong and never praising for the things the employees accomplish. She also needs to learn how to separate her personal life from work. Her problems outside of work reflect her attitude at work. High turnover rate due to poor management.

    Advice to Management

    Learn how to talk to your employees. Learn how to allow your employees to do their job without constantly leaning over their shoulder. Keep your personal problems at home, and stop bringing them to work with you.
