Pros

Easily accesible location, experience to put on resume, catered lunch and snacks.

Cons

Very unorganized and unprofessional. Everyone is a 1099 contractor. From the people who work in the office to the people hired for the housekeeping positions. They dont want to pay higher employee taxes, so everyone remains an Independent contractor, which the IRS needs to investigate their contractor status. Management is confused and has no idea how to run a team, let alone a business. Daily basis you had to deal with miscommunication from upper management which led to frustration because there was never any clarity. If you are too opinionated and dont kiss up to the ops managers then you are labeled combative. There is no growth or advancement or stability. Very high turnover. There was no respect for the recruiters who were a very intregal part of the company. If it werent for the recruiters, there would be no housekeepers to hire on as contractors. Had to work 10 hours a day and no compensation for overtime. The work was very redundant. No consideration to the ideas and suggestions that were put forth to make the process better. Very cliquey. People would walk right by you and look at you but not say hello. Overall it was exerience and a lesson for me.

Pros

They are good at making you feel valued, and not only implementing but also taking credit for your ideas. They have a great concept.

Cons

After going so corperate, they use, and abuse the talent that has given them the success. They call it partnering what that really menas is a legal way to not have to take care of the "talanted people " that work their butts off for them. they are shady, and will not give you the due respect of even honesty. The practices are that of big corperate at little college boy level manipulation. As a client or a partner BEWARE> I was there from way back and fought for a great bunch of people while HOMEJOY screwed them and me BADLEY! Horrible business. I look forward to it's just due. FAILURE. Shame on you ADORA!

Pros

Mostly fun culture. Fun office parties. Free food with a fully stocked break room if you don't like meat as it's mostly vegan and bird food. Happy hours and free health benefits. Unlimited PTO. When laid off they did provide some severance.

Cons

You will be underpaid for the amount of work you do. Upper management doesn't listen to employee concerns or complaints. Certain individuals were promoted based off close friendships with decision makers. Unprofessional management style. Some people take advantage of the attendance policy leaving others to pickup the slack. Not a secure place of employment they laid off half the office while also conviently outsourcing or contracting jobs overseas.
