I worked at Horizon Air full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Health benefits. Co workers, travel if you have money to go with those standby tickets

    Cons

Overworked underpaid. Policies look good on paper, but 14 hour days and not straight pay is tough.9

I have been working at Horizon Air part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get to fly for free, though it's standby. It's outdoors and physical, if you like that kind of work environment. You can put shifts up on a "trade board" to be taken by other employees.

    Cons

The medical plan is horrible. It's cheap per month ($5 for an individual employee) but the deductible is in the thousands. The benefits people are pretty clueless about their own plans when you contact them. The on site leadership is mostly horrible. They play favorites. They make promises and don't follow through with them. They preach about safety, but rarely give you the actual requested tools to keep yourself safe. Laziness is a perpetual issue, and often goes unaddressed. Good luck trying to use your PTO. If you don't "bid" a year ahead of time and have seniority, you won't get to use it most of the time. Putting in for something months ahead of time management will still make you wait until the day of or before creating a call out culture. You are penalized for calling out sick. No accommodations for school or anything else. No paid holidays.

    Pros

Great company. Lots of room for advancement . Busy work so time goes by fast.

    Cons

Pay isn't the best for all that you do but it's easy to move up and make more if you're willing to move. Dealing with upset passengers when flights delay or cancel. Horrible schedules. It changes every three or so months . Early mornings and late nights.

I have been working at Horizon Air part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The flight benefits are great.

    Cons

Some of the employees have worked there entirely too long, and know they can say anything and get away with it. The culture here is not very friendly to other ethnicities. This unfriendliness is both in the form of coworker-to-coworker and employee-to-customer.
