I worked at Hot Topic part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company actually cares about their employees. You get to geek out with friends who like the same stuff you do. Super rad as far as retail jobs go.

    Cons

Can't think of any. It's a great company to work for.

I worked at Hot Topic full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Keeps you busy, customers are mostly chill

    Cons

Works you more than any other retailer in a mall for very little pay. This is absolutely not a “pays the bills” kind of job unless you’re a store manager and even then it’s a stretch You get vacation time but rarely get to use it and you don’t get paid out unless you leave

I worked at Hot Topic part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Always something fun and interesting to see, hear, and learn. Great way to build skills in personal communication with a wide variety of customers.

    Cons

Retail has its ups and down in any company. Customers can cause mirror set backs but there will always be management to help you work with any and every situation given.
