I have a colleague who is notorious for setting up meetings <15-30 minutes before it starts. They’re not as much critical as they are just simply spur of the moment and last minute due to her lack of planning. Huge pet peeve. Anyone else experience something similar?

      Pros

Surround by tremendous talented people and could learn from them. Also HUGE has intern weekly learning sessions that invite directors to give a speech.

      Cons

Intern program could be more systematic.

Used to be great, now is just like any other agency

      Pros

Cool office, nice foodie perks, cute dogs, very talented people

      Cons

It went from a digital product focus to just another marketing, advertisement driven agency over the last few years. This means that decisions are being to please clients more than to make an actual functional product. Still putting reasonable work through the door, but who know how long this will last.

      Pros

A vision for the future based on getting the best out of different skill sets to solve emerging business and creative challenges A strong identity and brand (Mostly) smart and talented people A culture of being hard on work, not each other

      Cons

Evolving capabilities can make it hard for some to wrap their heads around what Huge is as a company and where it's going. Operational agility can lead to functional silos.

      Not all bad but mostly

      Pros

Amazing work and clients. Really, really talented people to learn from. Some of the best, for now. There are nice perks like lunches and happy hours quite often. If you buckle down and stick it out, great things can come of it. Great for your portfolio and CV.

      Cons

Work/life balance is very low and stars to take its toll early. You arent required to work 60 hour weeks like I did but culturally, there is a certain unspoken understanding to do so most of the time. Upper management has little to no idea what they are doing or how to do it. The place seems to be run by children for the most part. As far as bonuses go, you will likely never get anything unless you are one of the "elites," another problem within the culture of huge. Everyone is not created and treated equally. You are either a golden child or you are just another body for the bidding.

Feels like a sinking ship since 2017

Feb 24, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Bogotá, Bogota, Bogota
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Smart and talented people to work with and learn from Culture is great Good perks but have become a standard on the rest of the companies Good compensation which gets better if you are part of the elite team, smell of politics is in the air PET FRIENDLY OFFICES Food or summer Friday depending on the office

      Cons

Work/life balance really depends on the project and the project manager, so better dont make plans for your personal life Egos are out of control and leadership don't acknowledge their faults Company values are mere words, when a decision is to be made only money really matters Tech leaders just dont have any idea what they are doing, the lack of a solid direction is more than evident Decision are made with no transparency, feels like a game of thrones Prepare to motivate yourself to work, management nor leaders will do it for you
