I have been working at IBM full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Very informal culture so you can take to your managers and bring up concerns easily Very supportive of women employees as well as leader in terms of supporting employees with special abilities Offers a lot of flexibility Built on a culture of trust - so very good policies when it comes to sick leave as well as working from home etc - although WFH can differ project to project Very strong HR team and lots of other avenues to bring up concerns and issues that you might be facing in the workplace Treats everyone with respect - does not matter if they are employees or contractors - very few companies do that Exceptional resources for training Lots of opportunity for learning - and lot of resources to help you along the way Lots of different departments so easy to move around within the company

    Cons

Salary - important to be aware of salary process -you will get only a fraction of variable pay Overall hiring process is very weak as well as HR strategy is weak Poor infrastructure

    Cons

    1. GBS, they maximum try to push you to Client place after you join. 2. Hiring PSP are highly unprofessional. 3. No Cabs/Shuttles provided during 7AM-7PM. 4. If you are new to IBM GBS, you need to run behind several managers and PSP for project allocation. 5. Main campus is in Manyata Tech Park, which is considered to be far from other places. 6. Managers follow traditional managerial stuffs. 7. No Hike /Bonus.
