I have been working at IGATE full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The CEO of this company is not shy of sharing his dreams and does same sharing with employees also discussing about growth and revenues in the quarterly meetings. Flexible work timings. Not much work pressure unless you are unskilled one. Great opportunity to learn CMM Level 5 company process. 24 leaves in a year - awesome. Its for all level. Efficient Rewards and Recognition mechanism. Pat on back awarded with gift vouchers regularly to many people who work well and recommended by managers. Even if you are average, company is not harsh and you will feel encouraged to learn more and gain skills. Like to see people play carom, table tennis in free time and other outdoor games are also encouraged. So, they also pay attention to people who are good in sports and dance, etc. and encourage them in their interests. Good training given.

    Cons

Pune canteen quality and service is not good at all. 3 months notice period is worse policy and that too they make you work during these periods even if you are not able to give output with loss of interest.

I worked at IGATE full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Excellent place to begin your career. Their iLearn department is the best in IT industry for imparting initial training to freshers. The IGATE Level 1,2,3 certifications hold great value. If you clear the IGATE Level 1 elimination you can survive in any other company. Timely promotions and hikes which are truly based on your performance and the value you bring forward to the table. Their appraisal system is pretty much transparent. CSR activities and good initiatives All the leaves are categorized as earned leave which gives better control over your leaves

    Cons

Possibility to end up in support project despite being a bright resource. Minimum 6 working hours mandatory per day. You could end up in office even if you have finished your work for the day as you have to maintain an average of 8 hrs per week. Long notice period of 30 days. Less focus on building up brand value.
