    Cons

    Not all profs treat Project Assistants as well as their grad students. PAs are seen as expendable cheap labour.

    Pros

    Good brand name
    Get good publications if you are lucky and work with an established and supportive professor
    Good funding
    Adds to the work experience

    Cons

    No attention given to the monetary concerns of the project students
    Most professors do nothing to launch your career
    Depressing atmosphere
    Very sad work life balance
