    Many of us join the services knowing this but sometimes there is too much workload cramping our family life

    Best entry level pay across all professions
    Tremendous respect in society
    Adventurous life with opportunities to pursue a variety of interests
    Trains you for anything in life with all-round development of individual
    Lot of perks lie canteen facilities, ration, clubs etc

    Cons

    Stringent Heirarchy. Not much room to maneuver. Individual opinion gets suppressed.
    Long and taxing sailings/operations.
    Pyramid structure with limited opportunities for promotion after Cdr rank and therefore you get superseded.
