Pros
Ability to work from home.
Cons
Some people do well regardless of what they actually do; the rest get ignored or worse. Numerous layoffs due to depending on a handful of clients to provide 90% of their income. Check out their public filings...yikes! Advancement is severely limited internally and skills acquired are not exportable in some departments due to the proprietary nature of their products. Bonuses are a joke. Uppermost management takes care of themselves and offers pennies to the rest. Depressing as heck to see how its handled. Raises are bad too. Not based on individual merit; pools of limited funds have to be shared.

Pros
Work-from-home option, decent pay, improving economics resulting in job stability, management growing more serious about employee engagement and taking actions, good benefits, general dynamic environment with a lot of innovation around new processes.
Cons
While great growth opportunity exists for client-facing and engineering organizations, same can not be said about all departments.

Pros
Work from home. Liberal travel policy initially. Continued to go down hill middle of 2017
Cons
No respect or appreciation for contribution. No communication at all. Hire people and wake up one morning and your immediate supervisor is gone-let go. Very cliche. People that have held pretty high positions in the past are hired in at sub level lower management and their every move is directed, critiqued. Vice Presidents have a history of being not qualified for the roles and underlings have to manage and train them. Difficult to get commissions. Told paperwork not "signed off"so sales can get paid-despite already waiting several months for payment. Warned by another recruiter after joining this company that it was going to be a very big mistake.

Lots of Potential, Great Place to Grow
20 Feb 2018 - Associate Vice PresidentRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
If you know (or have a strong passion to learn) modern technologies, are a self starter, and are motivated to build great software that makes a difference in the world, work here. Lots of Opportunity for career growth... I started here out of college and have consistently been rewarded for hard work and leadership. Good work-life balance. Work as hard as you want to work and be rewarded accordingly. New leadership is strong: There were a few years where leadership was at odds and the company struggled. The new wave of leadership is extremely intelligent and business savvy, and most importantly, they seem aligned on how to run the company, as well as delivering on the Inovalon ONE Platform vision. Leadership is open to input from employees and has recently changed PTO policy and other benefits as a direct result of feedback. Engineering management encourages face to face collaboration, but supports flexible scheduling and working from home once you have learned the ropes and proven you can manage your time. Supports innovation through hack-a-thons, Innovation contests.
Cons
Developers must stay current with technologies as we are frequently changing our focus depending on the market needs and technology trends. Fast-paced and changes direction, which can be stressful. Due to audit and security requirements, the red tape can slow things down and adds management overhead.

Flexible hours, good support system, decent pay, work from home (remote) and on-site. Was good for someone straight out of coding school with little to no experience (which was me to a T). Great training (paid). Changing work environment all the time (as is the norm in the coding world) made it challenging and even fun at times.
Cons
Non-inclusive environment, although management was trying to remedy this (could have done a lot more, though). Never felt part of the team because I worked from home, although this was improving once I switched departments. I was let go before this happened, so never got to see the full effects of it. Management and higher-ups made decisions with clear disregard for those it would directly affect, and with little to no knowledge of the effects those decisions would bring. Management did not know what we did out in the real world, and never really seemed to care. They made decisions based on how they looked on paper. Let go very unceremoniously and without warning. A little heads-up would have been nice.

Stressful, Stressful, Stressful
12 Jul 2011 - Remote Data Reviewer/CodingRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ability to work at home. You do not have anoyone watching over you nor do you have to worry about going to a physical place for a meeting. Everything is done via a phone on conference call.
Cons
No Benefits!!! Also there is NO promise of work. After either the contracts are over or they run out you can be out of work for a minimum of a week and some instances three weeks. If your contract work is finished they will move you to another position such as coding and make you go through the training process again and you must pass with a minimum of 94% if not, then you are terminated. You must maintain a accuracy rate of 95% or you will also be terminated Also, was informed by a precepter that the quick reference manual HAS the wrong codes so therefore the chances of you being terminated is high.
