    I worked at J D Wetherspoon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great for flexible work Discounted alcohol, food and hotel

    Cons

Overworked if full time Not suitable to those looking for career in bartending Management and training lackluster High employee turnover

    Advice to Management

Ensure training is better so senior staff aren't overworked as much and look after the full time members of staff as much as the college students.

    Pros

    Can’t think of any really

Taken on as part time permanent to be told I failed probation period by being sent home sick which was out with my control.

    I worked at J D Wetherspoon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Make decent friends, have a good laugh

    Cons

Pay is awful, there is no work life balance. Expecting to drop everything for them. 90+ hours a week, no progression no matter how long or hard you work,

    Advice to Management

Respect staff’s need to have a life and give full time staff the correct hours not to all the parttime.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everybody is relatively friendly and you get discount food

    Cons

How this company can pay less than minimum wage in the trial period is a joke. Rotas are finalised a week in advance so no work life balance at all. Seem to be constantly short staffed and under pressure.

    Advice to Management

Provide a better work life balance and sufficient wages for your staff.
