Thank you for your review. You should receive your rota at least two weeks in advance and any changes to shift agreed with you. If this is not the case, please speak to your pub or area manager. Alternatively, you can contact the personnel team @ PersonnelAdvisors@jdwetherspoon.co.uk

I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time for more than a year

    Pros

For those that work hard there are serious progression opportunities. Excellent for training and plenty of opportunity to learn valuable life skills. The people you get to work with and meet make the job x10 easier.

    Cons

Is a very high-pressure job which some people may find too much. Some management tend to forget that running the pub from the office can create tension with associates.

I have been working at J D Wetherspoon full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great benefits including free shares, discounts, bonuses, gift vouchers. Competitive rate of pay for the industry (above minimum wage for associates) and the opportunity to earn more for working late nights/early mornings. Lots of opportunity for progression within the company

    Cons

Individual pubs can differ massively so the same experience is not guaranteed across the country

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with staff and spend more time front of house rather than in the office
