    Good salary, some staff discounts, good to build customer service skills

    Cons

    People just wanting to be at the top and not care who they push down on the way, not allowed a min between a phonecall without getting asked what you are doing, different rules from different team leaders

    Communicate so you all have the same answers as a team

    40 hour week, inflexible hours, static rota, weekend working, bare minimum holiday entitlement, working every Bank Hol. Poor employee travel concessions

    Review holiday entitlement, employee travel concessions ( look at Thomsons/ Thomas Cook)

    Pros

    Opportunity to move to other areas of company if your face fits. Free staff parking. Uniform provided. No pros other than that.

    Cons

    I was based at East Midlands Airport. Terrible management, jobsworth supervisors who are awful, they are not people persons and treat you disgustingly. Ironic really given the friendly airline they are supposed to be. They aren’t.
    No social life. Prepare to be exhausted because of ridiculous early starts (3am earliest) . No negotiating on hours . Annual leave? You will be lucky to get any and have to do shift swaps to get any time off. Only 4/5 people allowed to be off at any one time, in summer there are 80 plus staff rostered in somfigure that out how you will ever get any leave.
    Working for an airline is a nice status to have but I would not recommend this job to anyone. You will not be appreciated for anything you do. Your face as to fit to be nice to or even be given the time of day to be spoken to. I was disgusted by the way members of staff were spoke about.
    No staff discount so don’t join because you think you will get a free holiday. You won’t.

    Advice to Management

    Management need to be aware of what is happening downstairs and give more support to PSA’s as these are the low paid staff that are keeping this company running. Management need to be aware that you are employing the wrong supervisors. They are bullies and this should not be happening!
    Annual leave system needs looking at. Working those hours during the summer we need holidays and this is hard work getting it.
    Please just be fair to your staff! Make changes to keep same staff year in year out rather than having to employ new staff every single year and spend thousands on training new members.

    Good environment of work, working as a team is one of the main features of this job. You get not just colleagues but also friends.

    Cons

    A little bit stressful and exhausting when there are a lot of flights scheduled

    I can’t think of any

    Jet2 was the worst place I have ever worked, I was with the company for less than 1 year and I dreaded going to work everyday. My manager didn’t speak to me, provided no training and had clear favourites in the team. I didn’t have an actual job during my time at Jet2, even though a very exciting one was discussed throughout the interview.

    I left a company that I loved to join Jet2 so I could gain new experiences and progress with my career - worst decision ever.

    I would strongly recommend avoiding this company!

    Treat your staff better.
